Symptoms of Thyroid Cancer
Symptoms of thyroid cancer vary depend on the type of thyroid cancer and which part of the thyroid gland is affected.
Symptoms usually do not appear in the early stage. It often appears once the disease has reached an advanced stage.
However, when the symptoms of thyroid cancer appear, they may include:
- Difficulty swallowing
- Difficulty breathing
- Pain in the neck or throat
- Persistent cough
- Swollen lymph nodes in the neck
- Lump or nodule in the area around the Adam’s apple.
These symptoms are not sure signs of thyroid cancer because other conditions or diseases such as a benign thyroid nodule, an infection or inflammation, also could cause similar symptoms.
If you experience any of the symptoms above, see your doctor as soon as possible. The early detect of the disease, the greater chance to get treated for it.
