In medical science the uses of ginger is not new. Lots of people take tea with ginger for making their health fresher. Others, piece of ginger or blending ginger uses in different foods.

Recently, from research, the scientists have got new information that, ginger diminishes vomiting after chemotherapy for cancer. The matter was doughtily in various persons’ mind from previous some years but after research it has been proved that, the cancer patient who is under treatment, ginger is so much effective for them than anti-vomiting any other drugs.

U.S. researchers will publish full report on this topic in the final assembly of American Society of Clinical Oncology. On 29 May, the assembly will occur in Orlando. Most of the part of the report has been published on this Thursday.

The research was done by the National Cancer Institute of United States. And this huge scale human test involved 644 tolerant who were suffering chemotherapy at 23 oncology practices in U.S. Most of these patients were suffering from breast cancer. From these 644 patients, one group has taken the ginger capsule and other group took normal anti-vomiting medicine. After few days it has been observed that, who took ginger capsule their vomiting tendency were 45 percent less than normal anti-vomiting medicine takers.

Amid the official alert intensity to phase 5 across the world, Chinese Agriculture Ministry announced the country developed a latest diagnostic method to identify A(H1N1) virus (influenza) in the pig. Respective officials ensured the latest method could deliver diagnostic results just in five hours. The ministry added the new method can afford references for this virus in humans. The virus is commonly well-known as swine flu.

The ministry mobilized medical experts to develop the latest diagnostic process to test A(H1N1) virus. Within very short time considering its outbreak in more than dozen countries in South America, Europe, Asia, and the USA. Up to now, at least 23 people died whereas hundreds have been affected by this virus.

The U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have authorized emergency uses of the flu drugs Tamiflu and Relenza on Monday and a diagnostic test to help get a handle on a new strain of swine flu, said the agency on Monday.

The agency mentioned in a statement that, the U.S government already declared on Sunday the swine flu is a public health emergency freed the FDA to take such action.

The FDA will now have the authority to permit public health and medical personnel to prescribe Relenza, GlaxoSmithKline’s inhaled flu drug also known as zanamivir, and Roche AG’s Tamiflu, a pill which is also  known as oseltamivir, for unapproved uses.

Tamiflu have been approved for treating and preventing the in people over a year old, and now it can be used in children under 1 year. Children older than 1 year under emergency use, doctors can also change the recommended dosage. Furthermore, the FDA gave more healthcare workers authority to distribute Tamiflu and Relenza, which also includes some public health officials and volunteers.

At this moment over then 40 people have been reported sick by the new flu strain in the United States.

Prominent Narayana Health City hospital in Bangalore come-up with a public stem cell bank named the Rotary Narayana Tissue Bank and Stem Cell Research Centre. The stem cell bank is supposed to get more than three hundred thousand samples. The samples can be used for matching up for the patients reliant on the stem cells all over the country and abroad. It does not reach out to anybody else. Whereas, the notion of a public stem cell bank or a core blood bank would make the product available to masses” She added “Now in a public bank what happens is nobody pays you any money to collect the samples. We on behalf of the hospital and the institute spend the money, go and take the consent, collect the samples, bring it down here, process it, test it and finally store it in liquid nitrogen for any number of years.”

Stem cells are usually used in the dealing of diseases like leukemia, lymphoma, breast cancer, anaemia among others. A public stem cell means new hope for numerous blind people. Cornea surgeons think eye stem cell research has been a base of this stem cell research for a long time.
