<description>I live in the U.S. my younger brother who is around 52 years old is an alcholic. He used to be on drugs back in the 70s and 80s that&#039;s when he lived with my mother in Calcutta. I had him rehabilitated and treated for drugs in Calcutta and then brought him to live with me in Bangalore. He has been drinking since the late 80s and has stolen money from me and when I am abroad he is taking care of my property, of course that is another story. I lost my own home due to his negligence entertaing bachelors and women in the house, when I found out I demolished the house and build apartments in stead. Of course he still lives with me in my apartment and takes care of paying bills etc. But he also has money which I send him for his upkeep and he squanders that on drinks, now it has gotten very extreme. Please help me by advising what I can do for him. How can I go about having him committed and treated - I believe he wants to stop but cannot. I am very tired and very distressed over this, please do help me.
Thank you,
