Myelodysplastic syndrome is a type of blood disorder that can occurs to people who were aged over sixty. In this disease, the red blood cells and white blood cells drop in large numbers. There are also some abnormal growth that occurs in which the nuclear shape and size changed dramatically. Translocation and chromosome numbers affected by this as well.

This type of disease was usually a resultant of leukemia. Although the deaths occurred by this type of cancer are quite rare, death usually occurs because of infection or bleeding. In simpler terms, myelodysplastic syndrome is a condition in which bone marrow does not do the job it should. bone marrow is responsible for producing blood cells, as well as blood platelets.

Red blood cells have a duty to carry oxygen along with other materials to body tissues, whereas the white blood cells to fight infection, and platelets, which are used to make blood clot. When the cell is affected by this syndrome, they are not properly mature.

Another major disease is polycythemia Vera, in which the bone marrow produces too many blood cells. Although its not as usual, it still happens. In this disease there are too many red blood cells are produced, along with the regular white blood cells and platelets. There has been some note that it occurs more in males and people over aged of forty.

This can occur due to different lifestyles or even different exposures to environmental conditions. This is a very serious disease in which the person can suffer a stroke or heart attack sooner or later. The possibility of having a stroke or heart attack, increase of 80% after a person has occurred polycythemia Vera.
