Prevent Diabetes in Your Child

This must be the most horrible and saddest statistic report ever published in a medical journal: The number of American children taking medication for type 2 diabetes more than doubled from 2002 to 2005, particularly among teenagers. Now the experts are mainly blaming on the child obesity because recently the rise of the child obesity has increased in a dreadful way and children with overweight and obesity are twice as likely as their normal-weight peers to develop diabetes. As the diabetes is a terrible disease and no parents in the world would want to see that their children is suffering with this disease as a child. So, to keep your child diabetes-proof you should follow some rules;
Physical exercise:
Recent study shows that 30 minutes of daily exercise will reduce 5 to 10 percent of body weight and it works more efficiently than the drugs in reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes. Lot of children’s are found lazy and watching TV or playing video games. Make the physical exercise interesting to your children. Campaign more PE at school and make them participate in more school games. Create the habit of after-dinner walk.
Healthy diet:
The healthy diet is not only important for you child but it is also important for the whole family. The children will eat what there are given to eat. But giving same kind of food, the children can find it uninteresting and they will avoid it. Make your food delicious to the kids. Creating a good food habit is very useful and can be critical matter for you.
Look for the hidden fats:
You may think the food is healthy and nutritious but the best thing is to read the label of the food. Lot of restaurant may well have the nutritious info menu on their list but it is always better to ask them about it. Make the French fry as an occasional treat rather than daily.
No quick fix:
Being a parent is a hard work and to maintain our kids health is harder. Everyone seeks quick solution today but we don’t have any kind of magical power to remove the trouble of child’s heath. Our grandparents used go to the bed distressing about the cure of polio and TB but today we go to bed crying and dying to figure out the solution, how to cure my 8-years old child who takes insulin for type 2 diabetes can be protected.
Medical negligence can be a disaster for anyone who suffers from it but the increase in suits against doctors claiming medical negligence has had unexpected effects.
